The exhibition has been in the planning for many months and opened at the Market Place Theatre and Gallery in Armagh on Friday 11th January, 2019. It continued until 23 February when part of it transferred to the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre in Newry
At Armagh the exhibition included 8 models, many plans and drawings as well as photographs, a good deal of background information and a slide show and portfolio of work.
Several of the designs are from work that I did at the Abbey many years ago, alternative forms of staging in Australia, and more recent ballet designs for Scottish, Australian and Japanese National companies, Opera and Dance
The exhibition was opened by the sculptor Jasper McKinney MBE and featured limited edition Giclèe Prints of some 18 costume and set designs on archival quality art paper. I printed the designs at Creative Spark in Dundalk, where I was the Artist-in-Residence from December 2018 until the end of February 2019. The prints are for sale and suitable for framing – they can be ordered directly from this website. once I’ve built the online gallery.
